Educating children in a Catholic school environment has been the primary focus of my life. Graduating from college with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Secondary Education, Social Science, I began teaching immediately. I spent sixteen years teaching grades six, seven and eight at Holy Trinity School in Utica. I then took on the role of principal at that school and assumed that position until the school’s closing in 2002. During those years I completed my Master’s at SUNY Cortland.
I began my work at St. Peter’s teaching sixth grade and upon the retirement
of the principal again assumed that role. I have been very happy here working
with the faculty and families. The atmosphere is one that is centered on Christian
values and provides outstanding academics. It is my personal goal to provide
each child with a challenging curriculum, a loving classroom environment and
the knowledge that they are unique individuals.
The most important job that I have had though is to raise two lovely daughters.
The eldest is married and living out of state. She shares her mother’s
love of history and majored in such in college. My youngest daughter attends
college locally and is headed into the medical profession. I am very proud of
both of them.
My free time is taken up with reading, needlework and enjoying the company of
special friends. I have enjoyed meeting the people at St. Peter’s and
can call many of them my friends. St. Peter’s is truly a school where
“Everyone is Someone.”
