NYS Teaching Certification K-6

A Utica native, I graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes School and Utica Catholic Academy. I taught at Sacred Heart School for 15 years. While I spent most of my time teaching 3rd grade, I also taught kindergarten, 6th grade, 4th grade science and computers. When Sacred Heart closed 3 years ago I was transferred to Saint Mary's School in Clinton where I spent a pleasant year teaching 6th grade and 5th grade science. When Our Lady of Lourdes was forced to downsize I lost my position at St. Mary's but kept my son, James, enrolled there. I spent my year away from teaching taking graduate literacy classes at SUNY at Cortland. I am delighted to be teaching at St. Peter's School this year.

I am a board member for Utica AYSO soccer. My husband, Ray, and I looks forward to this year's elementary school basketball season.

I have three grown children living on the west coast. My favorite interest is keeping in touch with them through e-mail and occasional visits.

I also enjoy sewing, kniting, photography, gardening and reading.

In addition to the years of teaching and administration, I have been involved in teaching in the Religious Education Program, the Sacramental Life Programs for second grade and the Confirmation Programs for high school students in the various parishes where I have been stationed.
